In Portugal, two summers ago (September 2023), I tied a red thread around my wrist. It was a promise, to stop hiding my voice.

I’m sharing it now because just this week, I went to gently massage my jaw- something I’ve grown used to doing- and for the first time, there was no tension.

No tension in my jaw.

That’s a huge moment for me.
